What is a Truck Mount

Truck Mounted Platforms (commonly known as Lorry Mount’s) are categorised as a static boom, and are covered by the IPAF category 1B Powered Access License. Smaller Truck mount’s are drivable on a standard car license however the larger machines require a Class 2 HGV license which is why more often than not these versatile machines are supplied with a fully qualified and experienced operative.

Truck Mounts are small trucks, vans or lorries with a cherrypicker installed, outriggers are also fitted to spread the weight efficiently and stabilise the truck while working at height, this also allows the truck mounted cherrypicker to achieve massive horizontal outreach.

Truck Mount’s are popular when companies need to access multiple sites per day, or when sites have time restraints that require the machine be on and off site within a matter of hours.
